Leasing lets you use a vehicle for a monthly fee that includes all the maintenance costs, taxes and obligatory insurance coverage. The monthly payment is determined at the beginning and does not change over time.
If the vehicle is meant to be fully used for work purposes, it would be included as a company expense.
When the vehicle is left in the employee parking area after work, it is considered salary in kind, since personal use is involved. Therefore, depending on the availability of the vehicle for personal use, the proportion of time available for personal or work use is calculated.
This benefit, under the consideration of salary in kind, has no tax exemptions. However, the saving comes from the fact that the salary figure (the gross total) is different from the amount used to calculate taxes (the gross figure appearing on the payslip).
It is not a tax-exempt product as such, but it does come with tax advantages. There is no limit but you will enjoy a larger tax saving the more energy efficient the vehicle is. Furthermore, your saving will also depend on the proportion between business and private use, which will be set by your company.
